Carburizing agent as a commonly used material in cast iron process, mainly divided into two categories, one is graphitized carburizing agent, and a non-graphitized carburizing agent, these two categories belong to carburizing agent! Is the difference between the two the difference in graphite? Graphitization carburizer: spent graphite electrode, graphite electrode scraps and debris, natural graphite granulation, graphitization coke and silicon carbide. Non graphitized carburizer: bitumen coke, calcined petroleum coke, acetylene coke and calcined anthracite.
Carburizer according to the casting use, material and use method can be specifically divided into the following:
1. According to casting purposes
A. Nodular iron carburizer :C> 98.5s <0.05 mainly graphitized petroleum coke and graphitized electrode. High absorption rate, fast absorption time.
B. Gray iron carburizer :C>90 S<0.5 Mainly non-graphitized petroleum coke and calcined coal. The absorption rate is about 85 percent.
C. Carburizing agent for steelmaking :C 75-98 mainly calcined coal, graphite ball and natural graphite crushed.
D. Special carburizer: used for brake pads and core-wrapped wires. Generally 0-0.5/0.5-1 mm petroleum coke.
2. According to the material
A. metallurgical coke carburizer: cupola with large coke.
B. Carburizing agent for calcined coal: mostly produced in Ningxia and Inner Mongolia C 90-93 S 0.3-0.5 (used for steelmaking and gray iron).
C. Petroleum coke carburizer: mostly produced in Liaoning, Tianjin and Shandong C 96-99 S 0.3-0.7 (used for steelmaking, gray iron and special carburizer).
D. graphitized petroleum coke: mostly produced in Shandong and Henan, and C 98-99.5s 0.03-0.05 including graphitized petroleum coke and graphitized electrode (for ductile iron).
E. Natural graphite carburizer: mainly produced in Hubei and Shandong, C 65-99 (used for steelmaking).
F. Carburizer for composite materials: C 93-97s 0.09-0.7 is artificially manufactured from graphite powder, coke powder and petroleum coke.
